Still on the potty walk from last night's post, we walked by a museum of antique cars.

The Captain's Potty Walk

We went on a two-day whirlwind trip this past weekend, in search of fall color in Door County, Wisconsin.  

This was a last-minute trip, so the best place we could find for lodging was downtown Green Bay.  It worked out well!  We beat cheeks to Green Bay after work Friday night, arriving at our hotel around 11pm.  Our pup needed a potty break before bed, so we took him down a couple blocks until he found his perfect potty spot.  

Today's image is one of the lovely buildings we saw on the potty walk.  I love the "captain's walk" on top of the building.  A very aptly named business!

Unintended Hokey Pokey Trike Dance

 

Last week I was trying to take a selfie using my phone camera timer delay.  I tried several different poses until I got one I liked.  What I didn't realize was that my phone didn't take just one image for each timer.  It took 10 photos for each timer!  So not only did I have my posed pictures, but also a bunch of images walking toward my phone and bending down to reset my timer. 

Put together, they looked like I was doing the hokey pokey or something.  I got a chuckle out of it, so I thought I'd share.

Minnehaha Dormant

The 5th and final part in a series of blogs for anyone who has ever been to Minnehaha Falls and/or followed Minnehaha Creek down to its junction with the Mississippi River.

Today is a close-up of the limestone shelf where the water would normally be flowing.  Two boys lounging in the lower right give some perspective to the size of that shelf.  I think the moss and sprinkles of fall color are pretty.

I've started reading a newly-published book about the falls and the surrounding area, complete with a number of historic pictures.  It used to be much wider and had many names during the 1800s, including "Little Falls."
