When you take a cruise to points south in December, you get to see how they do Christmas without snow. I don't think this cute tugboat was intended to be Christmasy, but it was all the same.

Rotationally
It definitely felt like autumn yesterday. This display at the Lock & Dam 1 observation area was picture perfect and the epitome of the fall season.

Pushy
Just a gorgeous day today, cool and breezy. The breezy part was giving this tug a hard time as it pushed a string of barges into the lock.

Wishfully
We went on a trip this weekend following the Great River Road scenic byway as it wound its way through Minnesota and Iowa following the Mississippi River.
We saw high water and flooding everywhere. Most of the dams we stopped at were wide open, with no difference in water level on either side. I don't know if high water is good for fishing, but considering the number of boats bunched up around Lock & Dam 7, the fishermen obviously are hoping so.

This was a fellow passenger on a sailboat in St. Maarten a few years ago. He was really enjoying himself.
