Aristocratically

When I was picking up my friend yesterday, this 1942 Packard Super-8 One-Sixty convertible pulled into the lot.  

According to "the Googles", this car was only made for 3 years: 1940-1942.  It has a 356 cubic inch straight-eight engine with 165 hp, which was more powerful than the Cadillac of the time.

I literally LOLed when I got home and saw this image.  That is one angry squirrel! The tail swish is hysterical.  "You want a piece of me?!?"

Goosies

There was a whole pile of geese enjoying the afternoon sun in the shallows of the Mississippi River today.

I took several shots, but I honestly didn't expect them to turn out.  I was hand-holding with my lens zoomed out to 300mm.  I was standing at road level and they were waaaaaay down below at river level.  I was shocked when I got home and found that the geese were in perfect focus.

The autumn colors have been really hard to pin down this year.  So many trees are dropping leaves early.  Still some pretty shifting color here and there.
