Thinking about dad this Father's Day weekend.  I doubt he brought a vehicle on base while in boot camp, so I don't know who this car belongs to.

 Mom didn't become goofy over time.  Mom was goofy her whole life.

 Mom's cousin and also roommate at the time of this photo.   Circa 1950. 

Not exactly sure what she has in her hands.  Possibly the start of a braided rug? 

She's been gone for a number of years now, but she was a part of my life from my birth to her death.  When I was very young, she taught me how to turn the light switch on and off, much to my mom's chagrin.

Her familiar greeting of "How are you doing, laaaaaady." gave me the title for today.
