Terrifyingly
I had to stop at Walgreens on the way home this evening. It was late enough, so I was able to get a parking space right up front. If it wasn't for that, I would never have noticed the terrifying "Night Gallery" of images in their windows. What in the world?!? This one was, by far, the creepiest. That mom is going to give me nightmares.
Maybe it's time their advertising crew ditched their print vendor. Or put some UV coating on those puppies so they don't fade to poop brown.
This is a purely documentary blog tonight. There was no way to position myself to keep the reflections out of the background. But who's looking at the background with those poopy vampire teeth staring at you?

Neighborly
Nothing says summertime like playing in a kiddie pool in the neighbor's back yard. As seen a long long time ago. I'm still skipping down Nostalgia Lane.

Binocularity
I do still have a few toys from my childhood. And after yesterday's blog, I dug those old Mickey Mouse binoculars out of a tote for a picture. They've seen a lot of use.

Childly
Yesterday I was standing in line at the Dairy Queen in the neighborhood where I grew up and I was suddenly overwhelmed with a longing for my childhood. It didn't last long and I'm sure it was brought on by my location, but it sure felt strange to me.
So in tribute to that feeling, here is a long-ago snapshot of little Elisabeth with her Mickey Mouse binoculars and her friend peering through the fence in the background.
