I walked out of the house this morning and saw this lovely rain-soaked leaf.  I really didn't have time, but I made time to get out my camera and take some images. 

It was a sign of things to come as we had a torrential downpour when I left work this evening.

More from my neighbor's Sukkot celebration.

This vine hut is her sukkah.  The sukkah reminds people of their own fragility. 

The Israelites made sukkot (plural of sukkah) "booths" when they were wandering in the wilderness for 40 years.  During this celebration believers put themselves in the shoes of the Israelites as a remembrance of God's gracious provision for His people.
