The Kid

Day 5 of "Back to the 80s"

My friend, "The Kid."  It didn't matter that she was a great-grandmother and I could have been a granddaughter.  We were "just us kids" when we were together.

This image was part of a college project.  I wanted to memorialize people who I knew wouldn't be around forever.

Private Event

Day 1 of a new series "Back to the 80s."

This image was part of a college assignment in 1989, back in my MCAD days.

I don't know these people, but as the "public", I did manage to intrude slightly on their private event.

Back in my college days, I not only took images, I also developed the film and prints by hand.  Film – that stuff they used to take pictures before SD cards.

This was taken with my first SLR camera, the Pentax Super Program.  I didn't own a flash back then, so a lot of these images were pretty dark.  I tried to make it a little lighter and less muddled than the original.
